Yesterday I've been to the Dice Kayek S/S 2010 "Istanbul Contrast" showroom for LURVE Magazine, and was pleasantly surprised. As a Turkish designer, Ece Ege takes her inspiration from the architectural contrasts between the modern and the old Istanbul.
Some lace here and there reminds of the traditional outfits, but the materials used and the shapes of the dresses are highly worth those of some European designers.
Think Gareth meets Elbaz, both interacting in Turkish.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear much more from her very soon in the fashion world.
