Croatian Damir Doma is now a settled designer in menswear, and has a many influential supporters. But on Monday, he introduced his first womenswear collection in a famous library located on Paris' Left Bank.
Even though he already gave a sneak peek of what womenswear will be like in January; I was afraid he'd copy what he did for men's -- moreover, trying to erase broad and square shapes from men's clothes is one thing, making a women's silouhette vague but not shabby is quite different.
However he totally succeeded in making a collection marked by his typical basic ideas, but quite different from menswear -- there were even some sensuality in it all.
The hooded leather coats and the famous olive-grey color tissu made of silk and cotton were intertwined with black coats and trousers and some black translucent pieces.
Damir Doma is unquestionably setting a new movement in womenswear, like he did for men.
